Exchange Traded Funds :

Shortly called ETF’s, these are index funds listed in stock exchanges.
Investor can buy / sell these ETF’s just like shares on real time basis.
The main advantage is : the price of ETF keeps changing through out the day. Hence an investor who wants to ‘capture’ a specific moment during the day can do so buy buying ETF.
In India, we have Index ETF’s and Gold ETF’s.
There is no dividend option for ETF’s. Investors need to encash the profit by selling the ETF’s on stock exchange.
To invest in ETF, Demat and Trading account are mandatory.
